This was an attempt by me to make a Mewgenics clone for this jam. I've made a roguelite before for the 7DRL jam, and figured that already having the design work done (by just stealing borrowing it from Mewgenics), plus re-using code from my previous roguelite, would allow me to quickly develop a base that I could easily scope up and down off of. However, I quickly found that actually creating the base in a way that's scalable in only two days was completely unfeasible.
Rather than throw the project in the bin, I redesigned it into more of a tech demo of sorts. It features all the mechanics I was able to get in in time, such as movement, attacks, varying units, etc.. Even if I was unable to get it into a full fledged game, I hope you enjoy regardless!
Oh, btw, one of the things I was unable to do was enemy AI. As such, you control the enemies! Up to you whether you control them efficiently, or just have them stand still while you beat them up.
Also x2: I messed up the UI scaling when exporting. Whoopsies! oh well
